Four Wellness Products Worth Your Coin

Let’s start by saying that you don’t require any particular wellness-marketed product to live a healthy life. All you need is adequate water intake, a good night's sleep, nutritious, balanced meals, a daily bowel movement, daily activity that feels good to you, a living wage, and shelter. That’s it. That’s your wellness starting lineup.
But! If you’re like me and you wanna do a little something extra to ensure that your bench players are improving your overall game, come ride with me as I explain how these four items have enhanced my daily life. (None of this is sponsored, and I receive no money off these links.) Remember, it’s crucial to ensure that whatever products you bring into your daily routine will meet your individual needs. While these products have been helpful for me, they might not work for you, and, again, you probably don’t even need them.
1. Squatty Potty, prices range from $24.99 to $79.00

2. Headspace, $12.99 per month or $69.99 per year
At times, my anxiety causes me to have insomnia. Some nights it takes me hours to fall asleep, and on others, I struggle to stay asleep. Meditation has been a significant game-changer in terms of my managing this.
The sleep casts offered by Headspace are fantastic for helping me calm my thoughts as I drift off to sleep. And, when I wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time settling back down, I turn to the 10-minute Mental Chatter meditation that uses a “switching off” visualization to help you knock out. It’s been a great investment. (For daytime meditations, I prefer the CHANI or Peloton apps.)
3. A sleep mask, prices range, but I love this $50 option from Slip
There are two reasons I’ve been using a sleep mask consistently for two years. For starters, the blinds in my apartment are not great for blocking out city light, and hanging blackout curtains in here seems like a chore. A sleep mask was the easiest solution. Secondly, I thought it might help me avoid sleep paralysis after a particularly harrowing instance of it since I couldn’t see anything. And it has been so far! (This is 100% based on my experience. I haven’t seen any research saying a sleep mask is a viable solution for sleep paralysis, and I am not suggesting that it is.)
I opted for silk because it’s a breathable material, hypoallergenic, hydrating, and generally non-irritating. I chose the Slip brand because I know it’s made of silk versus a mask I may find on Amazon.
4. Theragun, prices range from $159 to $999 (don’t buy this one, wtf lol)
My boyfriend got me a Theragun for Christmas, which has been a godsend. I’m pretty active. I lift three times a week and cycle on my three off days—plus daily walks. So my quads, back, and shoulders are always a little tight. Sometimes I would be too sore to foam roll properly, and the Theragun provides the same effect while adding a percussive element—so it’s like foam rolling while getting a massage. It’s not a substitution for stretching and working on your mobility, but it feels so damn good after leg day.
